還要注意一點的是PS雖是個人陳述但一定要和個人介紹分開，不要一味誇獎自己的優點和過人經歷，而忽略了對於專業選擇上的闡述，招生官有時候在乎的並不是你本人有多厲害，而是你對於選擇專業的喜好及獨有的見解。
3、要想寫好PS，要知道PS的寫作手法
PS從寫作手法上來說要有起承轉合，所謂「起」就是要從宏觀上給自己一個定位，為整個文章做個基調。
接下來就是要「承」，從文章宏觀基調過渡到用具體的理由說服對方錄取你。
「轉」也可以成為升華，結合自身情況和將來學習的項目，對自己的未來有一個怎樣的期待和規劃。
「合」對前文進行提煉，照應開頭的基調，做到首尾呼應，這樣才做到一氣呵成，整個文章渾然一體。
此外，PS段落注意有長有短，有輕有重，有主有次，字數一般在800-1000字左右，切忌重復啰嗦。這樣，才能將PS撰寫的較為完美，值得一讀。
