MKN provides next generation, IP-based carrier class network services throughout Indonesia. Offered under the banner BN Touch, the new service will be rolled out in the first half of the year, BNS said in a press release. MKN, which is part of the Indonesian conglomerate Bakrie Group, will offer BNS Touch through its subsidiary PT Graha Multimedia Nusantara (GMN), which operates a HD IPTV service platform that primarily targets high end residential complexes and multi dwelling units (MDU) in Jakarta and other affluent areas, the release read. Services included in the offer, which will be deployed on a fibre-optic Metro-E 10G-based platform, starting in Rasuna Epicentrum (the biggest superblock in Indonesia), will include convergent services such as multicast, video on demand (VoD), network PVR, time-shift-TV, telephony, internet and gaming. BNS Touch comprises a printed magazine with invisible dot codes and a wireless pen-like device, called ‘The Wiz’, that reads the codes and connects wirelessly to a TV set top box.
